2021 Workshops & Events

We our excited to be offering a series of 6 free workshops in 2021 through ReForest London as part of the Signal Boost Initiative, which was made possible with support from the Ontario Trillium Foundation. Due to physical distancing regulations we are moving to online webinars for most, if not all, of our workshops.

Saturday, September 11th 9:30 - 4:30

Full Day Permaculture Course: Ecological Design for your Garden, Home & Community

Register HERE

Held at the Westminster Ponds Centre, Bruce Pavilion, 944 Western Counties Rd, London Ontario N6C 5J1

Jessica Robertson from Wild Craft Permaculture and Michael Schimp of Three Acre Permaculture will co-lead this in-person workshop that will introduce you to the concept and theory of permaculture, and provide you with the practical tools to start applying it in your garden, your life and your community.

Permaculture is inspired by the deep observation of natural systems. It does not seek to recreate them, but to learn from them and apply ecological principles to the design of human systems.

Activities and exercises throughout the day will teach you to think and approach problems with a regenerative mindset. Participants will have a chance to experience hands-on learning in a natural, outdoor setting at the Westminster Ponds Centre.

This is an IN-PERSON hands-on event. Registration is required and will be capped at 10 people to be in compliance with Ontario gathering restrictions and maintain social distancing. Masks will be required indoors.

Participants should plan to bring their own lunch, snacks and water bottle. Indoor washrooms and extra water will be available for participants.

Note: Due to limited spots there is a $10 holding fee. All registrants that attend or cancel with a minimum of 24 hours notice will have their $10 returned following the event (within 5-7 business days).

November 18th - March 25th

Online Permaculture Design Certificate with Verge Permaculture

Jessica Robertson will be assisting with Verge Permaculture's online Permaculture Design Certificate.

This highly respected course offers live online instruction and great instructors (including yours truly!). For more details and registration go HERE.

From their website: 'As permaculture practitioners and entrepreneurs, we’ve lived every lesson we teach.  From planning and growing a food forest, to building a passive solar greenhouse, to rehydrating an eroded field and stream bed, even to creating a rainwater harvesting system in our home. From creating Verge’s startup vision and mission, to marketing and attracting clients, to weathering business mistakes and triumphs, even to transforming local natural disasters into teachable moments with permaculture solutions!

Our lessons are rich with real-life experiences and an absolute passion for sharing this earth-healing, world-changing information. And our #1 goal in offering our PDC is to empower you to step from being a fearful consumer, dependent on fragile social systems, to a confident producer of your own food, water, energy…

…and a secure, sustainable livelihood helping the earth and your community as a successful permaculture entrepreneur!'

*Host a workshop in your own home with at least 5 people registering and you attend for free! Scheduled at your convenience.

**Most workshops half price for your son or daughter (18 and under). Contact us to arrange if not listed as an option.
